Off ya’ come!
Wow, it’s the 30 November 2012, the final day of MOvember. What a ride! The month had to come to an end at some point and here it is. For thirty whole days I have been growing a moustache, and twice a week I have been posting my progress.
Along the way I have been raising awareness and have managed to raise money through donations that have gone towards many of the Movember charities.
I thoroughly enjoyed the month and hope that you have had as much fun reading my posts/photos as I have posting them. But now, it must all come to an end. It’s time for my MO to go… Or is it?
MO the force be with you…
MOustaches in the news
This year’s MovemberUK was the biggest year yet with over 360,000 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas pledging to change the face of men’s health across the UK.
Significant support was seen from across the country with sports teams, local and national businesses, teachers and community groups all getting involved in Movember.
Movember Country Manager Sarah Coghlan says “Support from communities across the United Kingdom has played an invaluable part in creating a movement for better men’s health across the country.”
So far, £13.9 Million that has been raised in the UK, and all funds raised in the UK support men’s health initiatives such as Prostate Cancer UK and The institute of Cancer Research.
Useless facts about MOustaches
ukmovember.com, today kindly posted a guide on the best way to shave off your MO, that’s if you want to…
- Put on some calming music – Tunes that you and your Mo have enjoyed together over the last month.
- Trim back any longer hairs with scissors or an electric trimmer.
- Lather up generously
- Start from the outside and work your way in.
- Wash it down with warm water.
- Remember he will be back next year.
Once you’ve stepped through the above, you can relax. Put your feet up. Pour yourself a drink. Take a moment to reflect and quietly congratulate yourself on a job well done.
